The Adaskin String Trio presented a classical repertoire on the evening of Saturday, June 17th at Grove Hall in Huntingdon. Almost 22 years since the foundations of the trio first played at Grove Hall (back then still mainly an auction house), they were complemented with the inclusion of a clarinet for several of their classical works which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
The Adaskin String Trio has won over audiences internationally with exuberant and stirring performances. Formed in 1994, the trio performs extensively throughout the United States and Canada, and has appeared at Merkin Concert Hall in New York, the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington DC, and in Boston, Los Angeles, Montreal, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Santa Barbara and Chicago. In addition, the trio’s concerts have been regularly recorded for broadcast by CBC Radio, Radio-Canada, and National Public Radio.
