The official launch of farmers markets in the Haut-Saint-Laurent region was held at the Vaudreuil Farmer’s Market on Thursday, May 30.
“This provides a super window for the farm stores,” says Thierry Juvien, a farmer in Coteau-du-Lac.
More and more, people are wanting to know where their food is coming from, how it is raised and grown, and how they can support local farmers. That’s why Genevieve Dupuis, a farmer in St-Polycarpe, says she opens her doors as well as attends the farmers markets. She says she participates in the Journée de la culture and the UPA’s Open House.
“We love to mix culture and agriculture,” says Dupuis.
