HSL showcases organizations that unite members of the community and support school perseverance.
For this February event, guests are invited to wear something red for Valentine’s Day or wear a green or white ribbon to mark school perseverance, which represents all the efforts of young people who persevere with their studies. More than 25 groups have already confirmed their presence; their missions range from offering sports and recreation for families to transportation to health issues to communication and to the environment.
Collaborating partners behind this project are the New Frontiers School Board (NFSB), Community Learning Centres (CLC), the Vallée-des-Tisserands School Board (CSVT), the management staff and students of Howick Elementary School, Community Development Corporation (CDC) of the Haut-Saint-Laurent, the MRC of the Haut-Saint-Laurent, the Centre intégré of the Haut-Saint-Laurent, le Centre intégré de santé et services sociaux de la Montérégie-Ouest (CISSSMO), territoire du Haut Saint-Laurent, 0-5 Network, Regroupement Jeunesse Rurale en Forme du Haut-Saint-Laurent, Volunteer Vision Haut-Saint-Laurent; the Moisson Sud-Ouest Food Bank, La bouffe additionnelle, le Centre communautaire multiservices Un Coin Chez-nous; Leahy Inc. and Boucherie Poirier as well as the Milk Producers of Montérégie-Ouest.
