This past weekend the Chateauguay Valley Antique Association (CVAA) celebrated their 30th Anniversary with great weather and record-breaking attendance.
On Saturday at the annual tractor pull there were approximately 140 hooks throughout the day. There was a special “powder-puff class” where women had their chance to show off their pulling skills. Then on Sunday there was a lawn tractor pull where there were participants of all ages competing.
The 30th year also had some fan favorites return, including the shingle mill demonstration, the antique tractor parade and live music to get your toes tapping.
On September 19th, the CVAA will host their annual plow day, where everyone is welcome to come down with a tractor and plow, or even just to watch. The event will take place at William Mason's along the 138A (the old highway) between Ormstown and Dewittville at 10:00 AM. All the hard work of the countless volunteers paid off and the weather was definitely on their side. Plans are already in motion for the 31st Annual Antique Show.
