This program allowed community stakeholders to work to reduce incidents of domestic violence. The more youth know, the better equipped they will be to find help, consult available resources, put an end to this kind of relationship and focus on relationships based on respect.
Based on a maze, this multimedia tool plunges youth into the average love life of a young couple. Inside this interactive universe, youth are called upon to live the cycle of violence and discover the signs that lead to domestic violence. Youth are, in part, witness to the changing dynamics of domestic abuse within the relationship and, also see the possible consequences of this insidious violence as well as the different ways to get out.
Marie-Josée Leduc of Résidence Elle says ‘this was a veery positive activity that allowed youth to reflect on the problems of domestic violence in the company of qualified individuals. We saw something they lived. They had concrete reactions.’
